Chinese shared bicycles are favored by Brazilians

According to the survey results released by the National Bicycle Industry Association of Brazil, the country’s bicycle sales in 2020 increased by 50% compared with 2019. In So Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, the increase in bicycle sales was 16% higher than that of the country, reaching 66%.

Local governments have also actively introduced policies to support shared bicycles. The local shared bicycles in Brazil are mostly electric and human hybrid models, which is very convenient for the elderly who need to travel. The Brazilian National Bicycle Industry Association stated that most of these shared bicycles come from Asian countries, mainly imported from China and Indonesia. Because of their high quality and low price, these shared bicycles are favored by Brazilians.
