According to a report released by the German Electrical and Electronics Industry Association, German electronics exports in the first half of this year increased by 4.3% year-on-year, of which the export market in China increased by 12.2%.
Statistics show that in the first half of the year, German electronics exports reached 101.7 billion euros (1 euro is about 1.16 US dollars), breaking through the 100 billion euro mark in the first half of history. Among them, 10.2 billion euros of electronic products are sold to China.
Expert Jerome Hauer of the German Federal Foreign Trade and Investment Agency believes that China, as the largest importer of German electronic products, shows the Chinese consumers’ trust in German electronic products and the advantages of the German electronics industry.
“The German electronics industry is far ahead of other countries in the automotive electronics and industrial electronics sectors, thus providing attractive investment opportunities for international companies including Chinese investors,” Hull said.
According to the agency’s data, since 2013, China has become the largest source of investment in the German electronics industry, with investment projects covering multiple areas of production and R&D in the industry.
