At the Urumqi customs news conference held on the same day, Xu Jun said that in March this year, Kazakhstan banned the import of citrus, pomelo and stone fruit from China. Urumqi Customs has arranged a number of prevention and control measures for fruits exported to Kazakhstan. For example, the risk control is optimized, and the risk control of high-risk export fruits such as citrus, apples, pears, etc. is strengthened; the port inspection is strengthened, and detailed requirements are placed on certificate verification, on-site inspection, and regulatory inspection; and the registration and quarantine supervision of fruit origin are strengthened System to further reduce the risk of fruit export quarantine in Xinjiang; signed a memorandum of cooperation with customs in places of origin and ports such as Wuhan, Nanchang, Shijiazhuang, and established a contact mechanism between places of origin and ports; strengthened communication with the Kazakh side, using the Sino-Kazakh animal and plant talks mechanism and communication channels, Keep Kazakhstan informed of the export quarantine and rectification measures taken by China in a timely manner, and urge the restoration of fruit trade to Kazakhstan.

According to Xu Jun, on April 14, the National Quarantine Committee of the Agricultural and Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan sent a letter to cancel the ban, and Chinese fruit officially resumed export to Kazakhstan. At this stage, fruit exports to Kazakhstan have returned to normal levels.

In terms of exporting agricultural products, in the first quarter, Xinjiang ’s largest port for exporting agricultural products was Khorgos, and Xinjiang ’s exports of agricultural products were mainly fruits and vegetables. The Khorgos port exported 19,600 tons of fruits and vegetables over the same period, accounting for the total exports of fruits and vegetables in Xinjiang. 59.21% of the total. The main purpose is to export high-quality citrus fruits, apples, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables from Shaanxi, Guangxi, Gansu and other places and Xinjiang to the Central Asian countries.
