Turkey's ready-to-wear products exports to China grow

In the first quarter of this year, Turkish exports of apparel products earned 426.261 billion US dollars.

This sector’s exports to China increased by 143% over the same period last year.

Turkey sold ready-to-wear and apparel products to 207 countries, autonomous regions, and free zones from January to March this year.

According to the Uruda Exporters Association, the industry ’s exports to Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France account for only 51% of total exports.

From January to March, the garment and apparel industry exports the most to Germany.

During this period, products worth US $ 751.1106 million were exported to Germany, accounting for 17.77% of the total exports of the sector.

Ranked second in Spain’s exports to 587.175 million U.S. dollars, while the UK’s exports to one of the important markets for the industry was 395.216 million U.S. dollars.

In the first quarter of this year, exports to the Dutch apparel industry increased by 21% compared with the same period last year.

The external sales to the country increased from the US $ 261.15 million to the US $ 316.65 million.

During this period, the industry’s export growth rate in China was the highest.

In the first quarter of last year, we exported the US $ 19,418,000 to China, while the foreign sales to China reached the US $ 47,208,000 in the same period this year, an increase of 143%.

The exports to Saudi Arabia also increased from 82.65 million US dollars to 120.52 million US dollars, an increase of 24.11%.
